Metallurgy Publishing House
the central publishing house of the State Committee for Publishing, Printing, and the Book Trade of the Council of Ministers of the USSR; publishes literature on ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy. Founded in Moscow in 1939 under the name Metallurgizdat; it has had its present name since 1963. The Metallurgy Publishing House puts out scientific-technical and industrial literature, reference books, and textbooks, as well as catalogs and posters. It also publishes seven journals, including Stal’ (Steel) and Tsvetnye metally (Nonferrous Metals).
