Meteorologicheskii Ezhegodnik
(Meteorological Yearbook), a publication containing data obtained from observations of weather stations from any country or part thereof during a given year. Various meteorological yearbooks are systematically published by the meteorological services of many countries in order to study climate and weather conditions. Monthly and yearly data on air temperature, quantity of precipitation, snow cover, wind direction and speed, cloudiness and periods of sunshine, atmospheric phenomena (fog, thunder-storms, snowstorms, hail), soil temperature, and air pressure are published in the Meteorologicheskii ezhegodnik. In prerevolutionary Russia the Meteorologicheskii ezhegodnik was published under the name Letopisi Glavnoi fizicheskoi observatorii (Annals of the Main Physical Observatory; 1865–1911).
