Mezen’ Inlet
a bay in the northeastern White Sea, formed where the Kanin Peninsula juts out from the mainland, in Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR. Length, 105 km; width, 97 km; depths, 5-25 m. The bay freezes in winter, but the ice cover is often broken by the tides. The Mezen’ River flows into it. Tides are semidiurnal and 10 m in height. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
