(crystallography)
A microscopic crystal which polarizes light. Also known as microlith.
(mineralogy)
(Na,Ca)2(Ta,Nb)2O6(O,OH,F) A pale-yellow, reddish, brown, or black isometric mineral composed of sodium calcium tantalum oxide with a small amount of fluorine; it is isomorphous with pyrochlore. Also known as djalmaite.
