Milewski, Tadeusz 

Born May 17, 1906, in Kolomyia, present-day Ukrainian SSR; died Mar. 5, 1966, in KrakÓw. Polish linguist, Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1949).

Milewski graduated from the University of L’vov in 1929. He was appointed a professor at the Jagiellonian University in KrakÓw in 1954. His major works are devoted to Slavic languages, Polish onomastics, Indo-European languages, particularly Hittite, phonology, and stylistics.
