Military Service Card
in the USSR a document is-sued by the military commissariat to citizens upon the summons to active military service or upon registration in the reserve. The military service card is a permanent document identifying the soldier, sailor, sergeant, or master sergeant in active military service. It also indicates the status of a reservist. Officers and generals in active military service are is-sued personal identification and, upon transfer into the re-serve or retirement, an officer’s (general’s) military service card.
