Millbank, Jeremiah

Millbank, Jeremiah (1887–1972) business executive, philanthropist; born in New York City. He established his own investment firm on Wall Street in 1926. He founded the Institute for the Crippled and Disabled (1917)—the first rehabilitation center in the U.S.A.—and financed studies on infantile paralysis and diptheria. He financed the production of King of Kings (1926–27), the first film on the life of Jesus Christ.
