The population of Mineral County has shrunk to 850, with tourism the main economic driver.
Mineral County is bound by Missoula and Sanders counties and shares a border with the State of Idaho.
Here in Mineral County we have 53 alpine lakes, however; you can only drive to 3, the remainder are hiking trail accessible only.
