Location:Route 44/55 west from New Paltz.
Facilities:Picnic area, food, beach (é), hiking trails, bridle path, bike path, ski trails, recreation programs.
Activities:Hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, canoeing, hunting (with restrictions), recreation programs.
Special Features:Park is situated on the Shawangunk Mountain ridge that rises more than 2,000 feet above sea level. The terrain is rugged and rocky, and technical rock climbing is permitted.

After vigorous community activism, Save the Ridge achieved its goal in March 2006, when a court ordered the sale of the property to Trust for Public Land and Open Space Institute, who immediately sold to NY Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation for addition to the Minnewaska State Park Preserve.
