Miró Ferrer, Gabriel (gäbrēĕl` mērō` fĕrĕr`), 1879–1930, Spanish novelist and short-story writer. One of the Generation of '98 Generation of '98, Spanish literary and cultural movement in the first two decades of the 20th cent. Their themes are the beauty and cruelty of nature and of man. Among them are Figuras de la pasión del Señor (1916, tr.
