mobile Web browser
A Web browser designed for the small screens of mobile phones. Smartphones with Web capability come with their own Web browser; however, third-party browsers may be available. Web browsers, as well as every other smartphone application, must be designed for small screens and slower processing speeds compared to desktop and laptop computers. Opera on the iPhone
In 2010, Opera was the first third-party mobile browser authorized for the iPhone. If a Web site is not mobile enabled, Opera first "greeks" the text on the home page (top). One tap on the screen enlarges the page to focus on pertinent text (bottom). See greek.
