network operator
An organization that provides carrier services (network services) in the wired or wireless arena. Telephone companies and ISPs are examples. See common carrier and ISP. See also network administrator.
(job)network operator - A person who monitors and maintains the operation of a communications network. A network operator troubleshoots hardware (cables, routers, network switches, hubs, network adaptors), software, and transmission problems.
