An Australian survey, conducted by adolescent psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg on behalf of the National Coalition Against Bullying and teen girls' magazine Girlfriend, found that 42% of the 13,300 female adolescents surveyed had been 'harassed, intimidated or denigrated' online or via mobile phone text messaging. For example, the vast majority of corporate documents created today are digital, there is virtually universal use of e-mail and more recently there has been a rapid adoption of newer digital communication such as instant messaging and mobile phone text messaging. Gordon Lee, CEO of American IDC, comments, "This is an incredible opportunity for SMART TEXT MESSAGING and American IDC to interlock the two worlds of Sports and Mobile phone text messaging into a highly competitive contest and an exciting payoff. |
