Mohawk State Forest Location: 4 miles west of Goshen on Route 4. Facilities: Lookout tower and overlook; pit toilets. Activities: Youth group camping, pond and stream fishing, hiking, snowmobiling. Special Features: A wildlife sanctuary with panoramic views, Forest contains a black spruce bog that gives visitors the opportunity to view a rare plant community. A segment of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail passes through the forest (see entry in national trails section).
