Moiero

a river in the Evenki National Okrug, Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Kotui River in the Khatanga basin. It is 825 km long and drains an area of 30,900 sq km. The Moiero flows mainly northward in the Middle Siberian Highlands. There are many rapids in the middle course, the largest of which is Mugdeken. Fed by snow and rain, the Moiero has high water from May through August. It freezes in October and breaks up in late May or in June. The Moiero, whose most significant tributary is the Moierokon, is accessible to small vessels in its lower course.
