a city in Viljandi Raion, Estonian SSR. Located on the border with the Latvian SSR, with railroad connections to Pärnu, Türi, and Rüjiena. The city’s industries include a production shop of the Tallinn excavator plant, a flax mill, and a repair shop for railroad freight containers.
