Monadnock State Park Location: Off NH 124, 4 miles north of Jaffrey. Facilities: 21 tent sites (open year round, with limited services from November-March), youth group camping area, showers, flush toilets, picnic area, park store, trails, visitor center. Activities: Camping (including winter camping), hiking, cross-country skiing. Special Features: Mount Monadnock, a National Natural Landmark and a mecca for hikers, offers 40 miles of trails leading to its 3,165-foot summit. From the summit visitors have a 100-mile view to points in all six New England states. Mount Monadnock is one of the most climbed mountains in the world.
