Monaghan, Thomas S. (Stephen) (1937– ) food franchiser; born in Ann Arbor, Mich. With his brother he took over an ailing Ypsilanti, Mich., pizzeria called Dominick's (1960) and parlayed it into the Domino's Pizza chain—the country's second largest, with 4,200 stores by 1988. He owned the Detroit Tigers baseball team (1983). Among his various interests and philanthropies is his dedication to preserving the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. How to thank TFD for its existence?
