Mondzolevskii, Georgii Grigor’evich 

Born Jan 26, 1934, in Orsha. Soviet volleyball player, Soviet Army officer, and teacher. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1960). Member of the CPSU since 1965.

From 1955 to 1968, Mondzolevskii played on the USSR national team. He was Olympic champion (1964, 1968) and champion of the world (1960, 1962), Europe (1967), and the USSR (eight times between 1956 and 1966). He has been awarded two orders and various medals.
