Montgomery Bell State Resort Park Location: 7 miles east of Dickson, in middle Tennessee. Facilities: Campsites with electricity hookups, group camp, 8 cabins, bathhouses, 120-room inn, picnic areas, hiking trails, bike trails, boat ramps, convention center, meeting rooms, restaurant, gift shop, snack bar, camp store, 18-hole golf course, game courts, playfield, playground, beach. Activities: Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, archery, tennis, interpretive programs. Special Features: Located within the park area was Laurel Furnace, the iron manufacturing operation of early Tennessee industrialist Montgomery Bell. The site of the first Cumberland Presbyterian Church is also located at the park.
