Moody, (Arthur Edson) Blair (1902–54) journalist, U.S. senator; born in New Haven, Conn. After winning acclaim as a Washington, D.C. correspondent for the Detroit News, he was appointed to the U.S. Senate (Dem., Mich.; 1951–53).
