Moose Lake State Park Location: Off County Road 137, 0.25 miles east of I-35 at Moose Lake (Exit 214). Facilities: 33 drive-in campsites (20 with electrical hookups), showers (é), flush toilets (é), 2 walk-in campsites, group camp, hiking trails (5 miles), paved bike trail (2 miles)wheelchair-accessible trail (0.33 miles), ski trails (5 miles), snowmobile trail (2 miles), picnic area (é), volleyball court, horseshoe pit, swimming beach, fishing pier (é), boat launch, boat and canoe rentals, interpretive center (é), gift shop. Activities: Camping, swimming, lake fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing. Special Features: The park's visitor center, which opened in 2003 and is officially named Moose Lake Agate and Geological Interpretive Center (MAGIC), showcases Minnesota's state gemstone, the Lake Superior agate. A small sandy beach is located beside Echo Lake, which is known for its bass, northern pike, and panfish.
