Moosonee

Moosonee (m`sənē), village, NE Ont., Canada, on the Moose River near James Bay. It is the northern terminus of the Ontario Northland RR and Ontario's only saltwater port. A popular tourist center, it is also the site of a meteorological station.

Louttit said many residents come by winter road to Moosonee to shop for items that are too expensive in their own communities.
Archbishop Clarke was ordained a deacon in the diocese of Moosonee in 1963 and a priest in 1964.
The diocese of Hearst lies just south of Moosonee which, in turn, covers the East and West side of the Southern part of Hudson Bay.
