Moreh (mō`rē), in the Bible. 1 Place, ancient Palestine, known by its holy tree, near Shechem. It was Abraham's first resting place after entering the land of Canaan. 2 Hill of N ancient Palestine by which Gideon camped before he attacked the Midianites. India, Thailand and Burma have agreed to construct a road running from Mae Sot in Thailand to Moreh in India, through Pagan in Burma. Jahan Moreh is chief security architect at Sigaba (San Mateo, Calif. Moreh also alluded to Khalil Shaybub's experiment in his poem, "The Sail," (1932), though his brother, Siddiq Shaybub, according to Moreh, put the date of its composition in 1921. |
