Glamorgan (gləmôr`gən) or Glamorganshire (–shĭr', –shər), former county, S Wales. In 1974, Glamorgan was divided among the nonmetropolitan counties of West Glamorgan West Glamorgan , former county, S Wales. Created in the 1974 reorganization of Welsh local government from portions of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire, in the 1996 reorganization West Glamorgan was divided into the unitary authorities of Swansea and Neath and Port Talbot.

A spokesman for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg NHS trust said: "Following continued progress, John Hartson was transferred from the critical care unit at Morriston Hospital yesterday.
It also includes a new multi-storey car park for the Princess of Wales Hospital, a partial redevelopment of Glanrhyd Hospital costing up to pounds 6m, a new day centre to replace the Ty'r Ardd unit and a new rehabilitation unit in the grounds of the former Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust headquarters, in Quarella Road.
Her death comes after a spate of suicides in the area and will be investigated by a group involving South Wales Police, Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust and Bridgend Council.
