Moser, Lukas

    0.01 sec.
Moser, Lukas

German painter of the first half of the 15th century. Born in Weil der Stadt (Wiirttemberg).

Moser worked in Swabia. His only authenticated work, the altarpiece with the story of St. Magdalene (1431, church in Tiefenbronn, Baden), combines conventional forms typical of the soft style with observations of nature (seascape on the left panel). The work is marked by a search for convincing spatial solutions reminiscent of early Dutch Renaissance painting.
