Motley, Arthur H. (Harrison) (“Red”) (1900–84) publisher, business executive; born in Minneapolis. He joined Crowell-Collier publishers in 1928, and as publisher of American Magazine (1941–46), he tripled circulation while increasing advertising revenue, a formula he repeated in resuscitating Parade Magazine (president, 1946–70).
