Facilities: Group campgrounds, 3 lodges, picnic areas with shelters, concessions, hiking trails (14 miles), bridle trails (16 miles), arboretum, historic areas, off-leash dog area, ballfields, playground. Activities: Group camping, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, softball, baseball, cross-country skiing, day camp. Special Features: Cincinnati's largest park, Mount Airy was the site of the first municipal reforestation project in the U.S. Park features Trail of the Explorers, a 10-mile hiking trail that winds through historic areas of the forest and was named for the French-Canadian explorers who pioneered much of the Midwest.
