Lushan 

a mountain-climatic health resort in China, in the province of Chiang Hsi, located 25 km south of Chiuchiang (a port on the Yangtze River). The climate is mountain-temperate, with a very warm summer (average July temperature, 25.8°C) and a very mild winter (average January temperature, 7.3°C). Annual precipitation totals 1,050 mm. The principal therapeutic remedies are helioaerotherapy and climatotherapy. Patients suffering from respiratory ailments, functional disorders of the nervous system, anemia, and exhaustion are treated at the resort. Lushan has sanatoriums, including some for those suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, and houses of rest.
