A recent study, following more than 2,000 girls ages 9 to 19, found that girls who ate cereal only occasionally had a 13-percent higher risk of being overweight compared to the girls who were avid cereal munchers. But chimpanzees are more varied munchers than gorillas. Whenever leaf munchers attacked our chestnut oak, it flushed its foliage with tannins and released more into the air as a chemical call to arms to nearby oaks. |
