Musaev, Aiapbergen 

Born 1880 in present-day Muinak Raion; died Mar. 3, 1936, on the Kalinin Kolkhoz, Muinak Raion. Soviet Kara-Kalpak poet.

Musaev studied in the village madrasa and also on his own. In his prerevolutionary verses he decried social injustice. In the Soviet period, Musaev was a founder of Soviet Kara-Kalpak poetry. His works were first published in 1930. His poem “Lenin” was published in the newspaper Pravda in 1932. Musaev’s Complete Collected Works were published posthumously in 1941.
