Musgrove, Mary (b. Coosaponakeesa) (?1700–?63) Creek interpreter, trader, political leader; born near the Chattahoochee River in present-day Alabama. Serving as James Oglethorpe's interpreter and emissary, she played an important role in the founding of the state of Georgia.
