A brand of audio codecs from MUSICAM USA, Holmdel, NJ, www.musicamusa.com. MUSICAM algorithms were initially used as a basis for the development of MP2 audio (MPEG-1 Layer II), but were later removed.
(audio, compression)Musicam - A name for MPEG-1 Layer 2 used for broadcasting. Common data rates are 192, 224, and 256 kbps.
