Musipedia A music database and identification Web site that enables a song or musical piece to be recognized by its melody, rhythm or music notation. Songs are searched with human examples: playing a simulated piano, drawing the notes or entering a melody by singing monosyllables ("na-na-nuh-na-na"), tapping it out in a melodic fashion or entering its melodic contour (see Parsons Code). Client programs can also access the Musipedia database using SOAP-based messages (see SOAP).Community driven and called "The Open Music Encyclopedia," data can be edited by registered users.
