a pass between the spurs of the Meridional and Khalik Tau ranges in the eastern Tien-Shan (China). Elevation, 3,602 m. A pack road winds through the pass along ravines and a glacier. This road is the shortest route between the cities of Kulja (Kuldja) and Akosu (Aksu).
