Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar (mzŭf `fəränŭg'ər), town (1991 pop. 240,057), Uttar Pradesh state, N central India. It is the district administrative center of a wheat- and sugarcane-growing area, with road and rail connections to Delhi.

SPECIAL teams of the Delhi and UP Police working in tandem rescued an abducted a Maharashtra paper merchant, who had been in kept in captivity at a paper mill in Muzzafarnagar, UP, for the past 65 days.
The police had then named Bhagmal Tyagi, Anil Tyagi, a Muzzafarnagar resident, Raju Pandit alias Pathan and Babloo Tyagi for the murder.
