Myoblasts 

immature uninucleate spindle-shaped muscle cells of animals and humans. Striated multinucleate muscle fibers are formed from myoblasts during embryonic development and during repair processes in skeletal muscles (regeneration).

Dr Warren Sherman, the study's Principal Investigator, said that the MARVEL Program is designed to assess the effects of administering autologous skeletal myoblasts (ASM) on the functional capacity and quality of life in patients with advanced heart failure.
In order to make the brown fat cells, Spiegelman and his team started with mouse myoblasts and focused on two proteins.
Either protein on its own had no effect on mouse myoblasts in a lab dish, reported Bruce Spiegelman of Harvard Medical School in Boston and colleagues.
