NCSI

NCSI
(Network Communications Services Interface) Also called "nixie," it is a protocol used to handle serial port communications on a network. NCSI applications talk to the NCSI driver rather than directly to the COM port, which allows redirection of the data to a communications server on the network. See NASI.

The Cray X1E system upgrade was installed at NCSI on March 3, 2005.
The first stage of external assessment included a desktop evaluation, which included a report on how we met each indicator and portfolio of evidence, by an accredited lip assessor from NCSI (NATA Certification Services International) who are responsible for administering the standard.
Among individual companies, decliners outnumber gainers: 32% have improved NCSI scores this year, 50% decline and another 18% are unchanged.
