The strategy involves a combination of pipeline acquisitions, new pipeline construction and upgrades to existing assets to provide producers and consumers of natural gas liquids (NGLs) along the Texas Gulf Coast with significantly enhanced access to North America's largest NGL market hub at Mont Belvieu, Texas.
03 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf); Energen also hedged approximately 3 million gallons of NGL production at an average price of 80 cents per gallon.
Of that amount the economic split is relatively even between non-volume sensitive natural gas pipelines and volume sensitive NGL pipelines and gathering and processing services.
