(National Information Infrastructure) The U.S. government's policy for managing advanced technology in the country. The Clinton/Gore administration (1993-2001) was very enthusiastic about the Internet and proposed that it should be funded by private industry and be made available to rich and poor alike.

[CDATA[ The Water Authority is raising the price of water for all users by 40%, which the NII said would prove to be too great a burden for many families.
However, casualty recovery times and some aspects of command and controlled fell below the standard NII expected and as a result the site have agreed to a further full demonstration in April 2009.
Now reports based on NII visits to the Raynesway plant, which lies just three miles from Derby city centre, have revealed the full extent of safety problems at the factory.
