The aviation communications code word for “notice to airmen”; used to provide timely information or conditions which are essential to flight operations; these notices are controlled by the National Flight Data Center.

China Southern's Y2K working team has focused on specific Y2K resolutions to those systems closely related to the company's normal daily operations such as the Airborne Equipment System, Maintenance & Engineering System, Computer Reservation System, NOTAM and Automated Dispatch System.
The CAAC acceptance team conducted a methodical compliance verification of China Southern Airlines' internal systems, including the airline's Information Network, Airborne Equipment System, NOTAM and Automated Dispatch System, Technology Information Management System, Human Resource Management System and System Operations Control (SOC) Center, as well as the Y2K Emergency Response Command System.
When fully implemented, the center will integrate the computer system, ground-air communication system, ACARS system, WSI weather system, NOTAM information, Jeppesen Navigation database and crisis command center.
