Nadezhda 

sailing ship of the first Russian round-the-world expedition, under the command of I. F. Kruzenshtern (1803–06). The Nadezhda had a displacement of 450 tons. Measurement of deep-sea water temperature and various observations in the Pacific Ocean were made during the voyage in 1804.
