Nagant Revolver
a revolver developed by the Belgian gunsmith Nagant. It was invented in the late 19th century and adopted by the armies of several countries, including Russia, Sweden, and Austria-Hungary. The 1895-model Nagant revolver had a caliber of 7.62 mm, a firing range of up to 100 m, and a seven-cartridge cylinder; it was used by the Red Army until the Great Patriotic War of 1941–45.
