Nagara

a general name for Azerbaijani drums. There are three types of nagaras: the k’ios nagara (large), the bala, or chiure, nagara (medium), and the kichik nagara (small). Nagaras are used as rhythm instruments in various instrumental groups, especially with zurnas. They are distinguished for their great diversity of rhythms and sounds.
