Nagercoil (nä`gərkoil), city (1991 pop. 190,084), Tamil Nadu state, S India. Nagercoil is the southernmost city in India. It is a district administrative center, with industries in motor repair, rubber goods, and rice- and cotton-milling. Ilmenite and monazite are mined.
