Location: North tip of Nantucket Island, 4 miles east of Nantucket. Activities: Fishing, wildlife observation. Special Features: Refuge features the Great Point Lighthouse, originally constructed in 1784 and rebuilt several times since then, the most recent being in 1986. Habitats: 40 acres of sand dunes with low shrub vegetation and shifting sand. Access: Open from dawn to dusk; closed to vehicular access during nesting season.
