a medicinal preparation consisting of 70 parts naphthalan naphtha, 18 parts paraffin, and 12 parts petrolatum. The principal active ingredient is naphthalan naphtha. Naphthalan ointment is an emollient, disinfectant, and analgesic and is applied directly to the skin and mucous membranes.
