Naryshkin, Mikhail Mikhailovich
Born Feb. 4 (15), 1798; died Jan. 2 (14), 1863, in Moscow. Decembrist; colonel of the Tarutino Regiment; member of the Union of Welfare and the Northern Society. In 1824 and 1825, Naryshkin took an active part in the creation of the Moscow council of the Northern Society. He was sentenced to eight years at hard labor and banishment to Siberia. In 1837 he was transferred with the rank of private to the Caucasus. In 1844 he was discharged from the service. In Siberia and in the Caucasus, Naryshkin was accompanied by his wife, Elizaveta Petrovna Naryshkina (1801–67), the daughter of General P. P. Konovnitsyn, a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812.
