Nazarovo State Regional Electric Power Plant 

a large thermal condensation power plant in the city of Nazarovo, Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR. Rated power, 1,400 megawatts (MW). Construction of the plant began in 1955; full rated power was achieved in 1968. There are six turbine units rated at 150 MW each and one experimental power module rated at 500 MW. Brown coal from the Nazarovo deposit is used as a fuel. Power is carried by transmission lines operating at voltages of 110, 220, and 500 kilovolts. The plant operates as a part of the integrated Siberian power grid.
