This month, we revisit the neo-McCarthyism that ProBush. The cries of neo-McCarthyism are particularly ironic since many of the incidents chronicled in the report are not about offensive anti-war or anti-American speech. Several recent remarks and commentaries by conservatives illustrate a disturbing degree of Islamophobia and have clearly ventured beyond the limits of reasonable debate into the realm of hate speech and neo-McCarthyism. |
